The new harvester will assist us in the efficiency of harvest and help keep costs in check, as our goal is to keep pricing in check for our customers. As we are the only US based and all US produced seed supplier in the industry, we are proud of our innovation and the company’s dedication to efficiency.

The Nirvana series checks all of the marks for growers with its emergence and vigor, its ease in picking and packing with a short shank, its holding power in and out of the field, and most importantly the fan base it generates for its  unique taste and texture. The crisp bite is extraordinary and the sweetness in taste is unsurpassed. The Series is also high yielding with uniform, full tipped ears and even rowing. And now the Nirvana Series is taken to another level with the addition of the sh2i Seed Gene. 

In late December Onion Breeder Dave Whitwood and Onion Salesman Lyndon Johnson were checking up on the Crookham storage of the 2020 reveal trial that was grown on the Crookham farm in Wilder ID. The following comments and accompanying videos are some of the highlights from the day.

Although 2020 was a challenging year, Crookham Company is happy to report that our 2020 seed production and harvest was a success thanks to the experience and dedication of our growers and our employees. Here is a quick video overview of the crop coming into the plant for conditioning. 

The trial was in great shape and the 2020 growing season has been favorable for onions in the Treasure Valley. It was a fun day to connect with our dealer partners and the local growers to exchange information.
